The Self Defense Sports. Mens sana in corpore sana. Song created by Pete ( Pedro Blanco )
**[Verse 1]**
From ancient lands of India, five hundred years ago,
Bodhidharma journeyed far, to Shaolin Temple’s glow.
With wisdom deep in heart, and teachings full of light,
He brought the art of kung fu, to guide monks in their fight.
**[Bridge]**
In northern China's quiet halls, where Damo found his way,
He taught the monks to strengthen, and meditate each day.
**[Chorus]**
Kung fu’s the legacy, of Bodhidharma’s path,
From spiritual to physical, the monks embraced the craft.
With LouHan’s sacred movements, their spirits soared above,
In every strike and stance they took, they found both peace and love.
**[Verse 2]**
The monks of Shaolin learned, to balance mind and might,
Through eighteen LouHan exercises, they mastered every fight.
From China, it spread on, to Korea, Japan's land,
In Vietnam, the knowledge grew, taught by monk's own hands.
**[Bridge]**
With sticks as their protection, and movements strong yet fine,
The art of wushu flourished, changing names through time.
**[Chorus]**
Kung fu’s the legacy, of Bodhidharma’s path,
From spiritual to physical, the monks embraced the craft.
With LouHan’s sacred movements, their spirits soared above,
In every strike and stance they took, they found both peace and love.
**[Verse 3]**
A French Jesuit saw the grace, described it to the West,
Where guoshu’s spirit traveled, in cultures it was blessed.
New styles kept on forming, evolving through the years,
Yet the essence of their origins, remains both strong and clear.
**[Bridge]**
From Shaolin’s ancient halls, to the world’s vast expanse,
Bodhidharma’s legacy, in every fight and dance.
**[Chorus]**
Kung fu’s the legacy, of Bodhidharma’s path,
From spiritual to physical, the monks embraced the craft.
With LouHan’s sacred movements, their spirits soared above,
In every strike and stance they took, they found both peace and love.
**[Outro]**
And so the story travels, from east to distant shores,
Bodhidharma's gift of kung fu, forever will endure.
